Rolling Oaks Estates is located in the city of Middleville and residents attend Thornapple-Kellogg Schools. Middleville evokes small-town culture with links to larger cities to the south and north. Gun Lake is nearby and is home to the Yankee Springs State Recreation Area, where hiking and cross country skiing draw people from all of Western Michigan. In the winter the area is open for hunting and snowmobiling. The lake covers 2,680 acres and serves up options for boating, tubing, sailing, swimming and fishing.
